What a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning by getting some exercise outdoors whilst helping a local charity organisation!!

Arrival Four of our volunteers arrived early for the mission at the Single Homeless Project allotment site, where the project manager Lorena works with the clients to help develop new skills, do some exercise and have a sense of achievement from gardening. Linda, Jenny and Julia met up on the way and cycled together, whilst Peter transported all his tools for some serious fixing in his electric van!

First Timers This was a first time visit on this site for Peter and Jenny and they took to it like fish to water, so to speak, literally digging in to clear up some overgrown areas.

Mr Fix IT We were very grateful to have Peter assessing all the jobs around the site that require his handy expertise! Peter has fixed a polytunnel and checked out what tools he needs for next visit to fix a shed and greenhouse! We can't wait to see the outcome:)

Upside Down, Inside Out There must've been something in the air as both Julia and Linda struggled with some basic putting on of a tee and helmet, with Julia evidently wearing her t-shirt the wrong way on and Linda putting her bike helmet back-first after the session.... We got this, we promise!

Mission accomplished In this visit we completed weeding an area of small future hedge with hawthorn, oak and other tree saplings planted last year. It was great to see it being freed up! We also finished weeding the vegetable and wildflower beds. And of course fixed polytunnel!

Well Done Everyone!!
