Dog on a log...and other fantastic flora and fauna

Susie the Shih Tzu has been confined to the house for almost a week...waiting for another dog walker to be found...and the rain to stop!

Owner, Mr J, has increasing mobility problems, and is concerned that Susie is missing out on her regular exercise.

This is the third time that I have met Susie, and she was extremely excited to be out and about. The moment she was out of the door, she was running down the road as fast as her little legs would carry her.

Our third outing took us along an unchartered part of the canal. Susie led the way, and showed me some interesting sights. Our walk turned into a photo shoot, with Susie being a natural in front of the camera.

After an hour strolling along the tow path, Susie reluctantly allowed me to take her home. She was pleased to see Mr J, but definitely didn't want to go back inside...
