7 GoodGymers ran around Barnsley being festive!

Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances, we found ourselves taskless in Barnsley - disaster. With all that energy ready to do good, we embarked on a run around the town to see the best of the festive displays that Barnsley had to offer.

We shall see Christmas lights and do fitness challenges!

First of all we ran towards the Town Hall, up the sneak, steep snickleway and onto our first challenge of 10 sets of step reps before our first festive photo in front of the Town Hall itself.

From there we ran around town, scouting the best Christmas displays including the incredibly well illuminated Alhambra. We took on more fitness challenges including static lunges on steps with some high knees thrown in AND a squat hold/high knee partner combo that everyone just loved.

Back at Shaw Lane we took on a legs, arms and cardio challenge finishing with mega agility sprints. One of our GoodGymers, Connor, couldn't make it tonight because he was celebrating his birthday but we did also film a birthday video where we sang Happy Birthday whilst planking - just what everyone wants for their birthday!

Next week is our last run of the year and we're running to pack Christmas Gift Bags for underprivileged people in Barnsley - it's going to be a lovely indoor task and there'll be a festive music workout too!
