Dino dashing in a heatwave
4 GoodGymers made their way 3.0km in a race in Croydon.

What a fantastic evening in Crystal Palace. An intrepid team from Croydon braved the hottest day of the year to head to Croydon Palace and take part in a dino themed relay race - 3km each. There were around 90 other teams - mainly clubs and a few running for charities.
The 1st kilometre was a sweaty uphill slog which caught out a few eager runners who shot off at the beginning but that did mean the the rest of the race was mainly downhill with just a few "undulations". The route took us past the dinosaur ponds and through some woody shaded areas which was a relief. Juliet headed off first and kindly gave Rachel and Dom a generous time to beat - which they did! We also bumped into the ever glittery Danica and her friends who looked like they were having fun too!
All in all a fun race, well organised, encouraging and smiley marshals and we will be back next year!
