The Easter weekend gone and the chocate all eaten, 23 runners turn up, the sun also turn up which make everyone happier!

One part of the group had the pleasure to have some Live Music while they were digging, which was BRILLIANT.

What Jonny think about the task?

We had to entertain ourselves with press up circuits initially, while others jumped a fence to get spades but after all that we got down to some gardening, removing weeds, rubbish and an entire tree stump as well.

Here is a report from Tom

A team of us ran down to Wyck Gardens to meet a rather flustered Marion who had only just got back from her weekly shop at Tesco’s. To ensure we could get started before unloading her shopping she kindly vaulted over a nearby wall to get the required kit before dumping her groceries at home and explaining the task in hand. Now in the meantime a big shout out goes to newcomer Chris who got us doing some good drills in the park while we waited (much to some of the youngsters in the play parks fascination), nice one Chris!!

The task in hand was to finish off the work we had started the other week and that was to remove all the turf from the patch so they can start planting a load of flowers to brighten up the patch/area. As we got down to business a couple of keen member set to try and remove a big stump from the centre of the patch, now I don’t use this word lightly but it was a whopper and although I was sceptical at first, within 10 mins the team had it consigned it to the scrapheap. Safe to say the rest of us were all impressed, well done team! We eventually removed all the grass we could see and even unearthed a few massive worms (and got munched by some bugs to add to the mix) before Damian gave it a good rack over. Once we had finished Marion was really pleased and it now means they can start planting the new plants which will certainly make a difference. We finished with a short run back and all in all it was another successful Tuesday night, well done team!!

Amazing @goodgym lambeth task tonight ! Live music and digging to help the community !
