Southwark

Mission

Cutting, cutting, cutting camellias. Do good, then go. Do good, then go.

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

On to the second task of the day, Marta and I (Vic) met with Ms F, who told us she was ‘too old’ (and then asked us to guess how old!) to look after her large garden which keeps growing out of control.

Armed only with kitchen scissors, we set to work trimming back the camellias which were growing over the path, and choking smaller plants. We then started clearing weeds, and discovering a delicious-smelling patch of wild mint .

Sadly the garden was too big to finish, but we managed to get a full brown bin full of weeds before it was time to head off for Marta’s THIRD mission of the day! What a hero!

That's an impressive streak Marta, and well done both on a great mission!
