Curtain Up…or not
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Redbridge.
- Sunday, 14th of May 2023
Mrs W needed curtains for warmth and privacy. So James and Linda cycled over to Ilford, ready, willing and …errr… as it turned out unable to help 😮
There were 4 windows to do but only two net curtains with three sets of drapes had been delivered and they were all way too short. 🙈 Also the drapes were eyelet style but the poles are threaded for string pull closing so should probably be pencil pleats with hooks. Not all rods were in place (we had been told they were) for the nets, although curtain springs and fittings were supplied we did not have the right tools to fit them.
We tried to assist with remeasuring but with the tape being too short and the tops of windows being slightly out of reach we were concerned the measurements would not be accurate. In the end we decided it best to refer back to LNQ (original referrer) to arrange correct measuring.
Apart from that everything went really well😂 Hey Ho, it was a lovely day for a cycle anyway.
