Naomi was joined by Tracey, Gwyn and Rachel to clear up the streets of Derby on the group's usual Tuesday night meet from Jury's Inn. The group have been meeting in the well-lit city centre for litter picking until the evenings get a little lighter.

It was great to be out on what was a more mild evening and to see more people out and about in the city centre. This unfortunately also meant a lot more food packaging than is usually seen around benches and on the streets and the group mostly collected takeaway/fast food packaging, drinks cans and bottles as well as lots and lots of cigarette butts. Two bin bags were filled whilst the group walked just under 4km during the session as they were discussing some upcoming tasks.

The group were thrilled to see the colourful 'Joy' canopy installation by local artist Amy Vallance at the Cathedral Quarter as part of the city's bid for the UK City of Culture 2025.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered and good luck to Tracey and Gwyn who are taking part in the weekly Wednesday night race they participate in, 1 mile warm up followed by a 5km route.
