Islington

Mission

Christmas Shopping

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.

My second mission of the day was a trip to the supermarket for Mr R as he was running short of food. After chatting through his list, I collected the money and bags and ran down to the shops

It was really nice to see all the places open again on the first day after lockdown ending and loads of people had got Christmas trees and lights up which made me feel really festive. Unfortunately the Guinea fowl which was on offer had sold out, so I made a quick call to Mr R to decide on an alternative then quickly found the rest of the items.

On my return, Mr R was happy to see me and I headed home feeling much more festive than when I set off (also planning a trip to one of the newly reopened pubs).
