Caught without a leg to stand on

Fresh from a gardening mission 5 minutes away, Neil and Nina arrived at Mr S' house for what we thought would be a 5 minute job.

What we found was a bedside table that had collapsed, lost a leg and had one screw loose and another missing.

We quickly formulated a plan to repair the table and raided a "junk" drawer to find improvised repair equipment.

With a little grunt work we were on track to complete the job when we needed to return downstairs for supplies. This was great as it allowed us to hear some inspirational stories from Mr S who is now in his 90s but had served in the army in so many countries during WW2.

We completed the job in approximately 30minutes and were back on our way!
