Cancer Research Tough 10 - Epping Forest
1 GoodGymer made their way 10.3km in a race in Waltham Forest.
- Sunday, 21st of October 2018
- Led by Peter Van Tongeren
On a sunny and quickly warming Sunday morning a bunch of brave (slightly mad?) runners showed up at the edge of Epping Forest to take on the Tough 10, a 10k trail run up & down over little trails & open fields, organised by Cancer Research.
Encouraged by the enthusiatic voice on the mike, people were soon lining up, eager to get out on the route. Spread out in groups everyone made their way out into the forest for their personal battle, with targets ranging from winning to just making it to the finish and everything in between.
Afterwards there were lots of tired but smiling faces, for a job well done. Personally, pretty surprised my rugby battered body managed to drag itself round in less than an hour!
P.S... i did do this race as a challenge to myself, but if you do feel the hard work warrants a reward.... they did create a donation page for me ;-)
