I am used to strange GG missions - obviously there is the annual competitive Christmas tree herding and the various nighttime gardening activities in community gardens that sometimes look like grave robbing. However, today’s mission for Mr J is up there with them. It started normally, continuing the clearance of ivy. Then Mr J appeared at the door with a package - ‘it should be easy to put up…’; it was a tent to provide shelter for the feral cats he feeds. Alas it was flimsy and one of the poles failed as I was putting it up. However, a little bit of improvisation and a broken paving slab dug up a few weeks ago meant that it should give his feline friends something of a refuge from the elements.
