Cabinet reshuffle and sorting out a sticky situation

On this sunny morning, we helped Ms A’s husband shuffle a large cabinet in the living room to make space for a hospital bed to go in the same room.

After some discussions of how to move this cabinet without breaking all the delicate ornaments we decided to empty the shelves. We wanted to do a smashing job, just not literally. This actually made the cabinet a lot lighter and we succeeded in shuffling it a metre down the wall without any breakages.

Once we had finished this, we started to move the other bits of furniture. This turned into a sticky situation. Much to Ms A’s husband’s amusement, Abi stood on a glue mouse trap. She couldn’t move anywhere without getting stuck to the carpet. Luckily, we rectified the situation with last night’s Evening Standard. Abi is now running around with The Evening Standard stuck to the bottom of her trainer but it’s better than carpet!

We then successfully moved the furniture upstairs to make more space for the bed.

Ms A’s husband was very thankful and we headed home pleased we’d managed to help!
