Last night the run in West Ham was a great success. We set off from our start point in Memorial Park and got straight onto the Greenway to run south east, coming back off again onto Prince Regent Lane - not a particularly glamorous leg of the route but as far as we know the only way to sensibly cross the A13.With the duel carriageway behind us we wound southwards through small residential streets and onto the lovely paths just north of Victoria Dock Road that weave between allotments and woods.  We turned off the path on an adventurous off piste route direct to the entrance of Richard House."Anything with a yellow label goes in the skip!" and the task began. We spent 32 mins shifting all manner of interesting items from the garage of the childrens' hospice straight into a skip.  We lamented the problems of landfill and talked about projects that help people share unwanted items, and we saved a specialist bike, tweeting a picture of it to BikeWorks. We couldn't think who might be most likely to use a 7 foot santa, but get in touch if you'd like one.Irene and the Richard House crew brought out some chilled fizzy drinks, so we had a quick final sweep up, slaked our thirst, and ran away leaving a much fuller skip and a much emptier garage. Our route back took us north through Beckton District Park and around the totally delightful lake before dealing with the A13 again and a pacey jog back up to and along the Greenway to Memorial Park.  A 9.2k run and a satisfying half hour of fast paced lifting. More photos are on the GoodGym facebook page.
