A broom, a bin bag, a dry morning and a quick bit of teamwork was all it took to put a smile on Mr I’s face at the sight of his clean and tidy front garden. While I swept up leaves and twigs blown onto the path by recent storms, Mr I manoeuvred his wheelchair so that he could hold the bag open for me to fill. We finished the task so easily, there was time for us to have a natter and to admire the pots and planters in his back garden where he enjoys growing his own potatoes and strawberries – truly inspiring!
