I braved storm Eowyn to continue the GoodGym Newcastle litter pick relay and my personal campaign against litter on the local Suds (Substanible Drainage Solution) on my lunch break.

Earlier in the week I purchased some 120 litre heavy duty bin bags, I deployed two of these to good use and made a really dent in the litter. I got super engrossed in the episode of the podcast 'feel better, live more' I was listening to with guest Auschwitz Survivor Dr Edith Eger who was incredibly inspiring, and before I knew it I had picked up 200 litres of rubbish. It was hard to stop when there was still plenty of litter but the bags were getting full. I promised myself I will be back to finish off.

On the walk home I learnt of the down side of bigger bags - the weight! It was great work out though!

Thank you! Still a bit to go next time I need to start fishing litter out of the water!
