On a blustery and damp Saturday, Vikki and I cycled to Haxby to continue the ongoing task of clearing the heavy bramble growth in Mr K's garden. He used to be able to keep on top of his garden but with an ill wife he's not been able to for a long time now and it had gone rogue.

Vikki has already been twice before, so when I arrived she was already stuck in. I soon joined her and we spent the next 2 hours in deep focus, lopping, hacking and pulling as much bramble as we could.

After the hard graft (and a lot of prickles to the face) we made a massive clearing. Hopefully only one more session is needed to clear the last section of brambles. Then we need to dig out the roots and move the large piles!
