Blessed Assurance

"Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine; Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!" Ms A rested on a reclining chair when I hummed her favourite hymn and she sang along. She is frail after the stroke but there is nothing wrong with her hearing and she followed our conversations well. We talked about Ms A's hobbies: cooking, sewing and gardening. Ms A loves white flowers and grows ginger in her garden. She liked to put ginger, thyme and spice when she used to cook. As a devoted Christian, Ms A was a keen church goer before the stroke. She would like to get better soon so that she could cook for the elderly. I sincerely hope that Ms A can recover soon to resume her active life.
