Saturday afternoon saw James and I meeting for the second time in two days, this time up in Hornsey to help Mrs H in her garden. I'd been here before on tree-planting duty and she had a list of tasks for us on phase 2 of landscaping.

We started by weeding, digging and planting a large fern, followed by re-planting it as Mrs H wasn't satisfied with the position! This job was somewhat back-breaking as the soil was riddled with slate and the roots needed depth.

This was followed by the main course of tackling a large tree, trimming it back to provide more light to the garden and prevent interference with neighbouring plant life. To do this, Mrs H provided a large array of bladed tools, including a saw, multiple shears and even a trident. We hacked and hewed for half an hour under Mrs H's direction until eventually she was satisfied with the results.

As with last time, Mrs H kindly offered us coffee and homemade cake whilst planning our next visit! Another satisfied customer.
