Mr N and his wife are shielding. They’ve stocked up on freezer food but needed some fresh fruit and veg. No blue skies today so I left my sunglasses behind and pulled my raincoat on over my GoodGym top, neither of which have been on an outing in a while.

When I arrived, I saw Mr N by the window. He gave me a big wave and we spoke though the open window. He was fully prepared with a list, shopping bags, and cash ready to go!

There was a busy zigzag queue to get into the shop and as the drizzle continued, thankfully I was fully equipped with my raincoat. The zigzagging continued when I eventually got into the shop and each aisle was a one-way system. There was still no sign of any flour on the shelves or any white cabbage which the store worker noted was strangely in popular demand that morning. Other than these two items everything else was ticked off the list and I checked out.

I dropped the bags of shopping back to Mr N and his wife, who were both very grateful for the fresh fruit and veg.
