Sunshine or rain – and we had both! – the garden is looking colourfully abundant at the Marsha Phoenix Trust hostel, which supports homeless young women in Brockley. A team of six Goodgym runners helped volunteer gardening guru Sue with a choice of tasks including trimming ivy, clearing the greenhouse, tidying paths and digging up bramble roots. Lovely way to spend a Saturday morning and, as a bonus, there were raspberries and redcurrants for us to sample.
