Bean helping out
3 runners ran to help the East End Women in Newcastle.

We were back at the East End Women foodbank for our weekly essential mission. Charlotte and Neil (well done to Neil on his first community mission!) started packing the driver’s cars while I helped unpack foods donated from supermarkets on to the shelves.
Once most of delivery drivers had picked up their food parcels Charlotte and Neil helped me put food tins in the correct places. Once the main shelves were rammed with tins, we organised the storeroom so the many tins of beans and soup were all nicely packed together. We all helped packing the car of the last driver.
Just when we thought we were finishing off, a surprise delivery turned up which had been rerouted due to the snow. We unloaded loads of fresh fruit and veg, cheese, milk and sausages. I unfortunately had to rush off back to work but Charlotte and Neil managed to stay, and help make sure the delivery was all out in the correct places. Well done everyone!
As always a fantastic way to spend a long lunch break!
