The first sorting session community mission at Ladywood saw Anthony start by taking around 40 bags of food out to be loaded into a van, bound for deliveries to elderly people who would not be able to get food themselves in current conditions.

Afterwards he was kept busy, joining TAWS staff and the other volunteers sorting large amounts of mixed food into food bags to be delivered.

All in all it was a great and valuable contribution, and a great way to start Goodgym’s support inside the Ladywood hub in addition to our food drop volunteering. He met lots of wonderful people, all getting together (at a safe distance) to work towards a common goal of helping others. All of whom agreed that volunteers are getting everyone through this crisis, it would not be possible without them.
