Tonight David and I went to Mrs L’s house to bag up some ivy from her garden. Unlike most gardening missions, the ivy had already been cut down a couple of weeks ago, but our task was to bag up the cuttings as they had just been lying around at the end of the garden.

David got to work sawing the larger branches so that they would fit in the bags, and I made a start on the smaller bits. After just over an hour we had cleared the ivy away and ended up with 8 bags ready for the council to collect. We also managed to top up the compost bin and give the back corner of the garden a general tidy-up.

Mrs L was very happy to have the ivy bagged up and, after a quick chat about her lovely garden, we bid her farewell and ran/cycled off home.
