On Saturday morning, Natasha and Will braved the blustery November conditions to help Mrs R out on Badin Close in Hammersmith. The morning began with a gentle run and a pair of enormous breakfast sandwiches from the Brackenbury Deli (a sine qua non for anyone doing a morning mission in Hammersmith).

Having found our way to the location, we found that the task was much the same as it had been last time we’d been there in September: lopping bits off the bushes and trees in the back garden and clearing the patio of weeds. Will got on with the former and Natasha dealt with the latter. There was a constant threat of rain, but fortunately it didn’t really materialise until we left.

An hour later and we had made a substantial difference to the garden: the tree sprawled far less, and the patio positively gleamed. Though persistent, cold drizzle marred the run back, it was a fun morning’s work and we look forward to more of the same in the spring.
