At the Cutting Hedge
5 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Windsor and Maidenhead.
- Monday, 22nd of November 2021
- Led by Windsor and Maidenhead runner
Amanda, Juli, Tessa and Sheila joined the Courthouse Road hedge-cutting group for another session cutting back the shrubs encroaching on the pavement. Again, we were blessed with sunny weather, and we set to work with loppers, secateurs and a saw, filling the dumpy bags with the cuttings for Lydia to take down to the tip. Once the years of accumulated leaf humus had also been shovelled up, significantly more pavement had been revealed, meaning that parents and children can now walk along the pavement safely. Another satisfying session which has made a real difference to the residents

Brilliant! That corner is totally transformed. Well done!
And welcome to Anita, who we first met at this session 🤗. Anita joined the task as a local resident rather than a GoodGymer, but she has since been on a group run and we hope to see her again soon 😁
