As the mow flies

Mr D of Isleworth is elderly and housebound, but still loves his garden, and he loves to look out on it from the kitchen at the back of the house. His son Mr C was on hand to explain what needed to be done and had acquired a brand new lawnmower for the task. Once it was plugged into the outdoor plug at the back of the garden the mowing began, a very satisfying task with brand new sharp blades. The flex didn't reach all the way back to the house so it was a game of two halves, reaching up as far as possible and then moving the plug to the house to finish the job. It was a lovely afternoon made all the more pleasant by the smell of freshly cut grass, and before long the lawn looked a treat!
