Ants in your plants

We were welcomed by the lovely Ms C on this super hot Sunday morning (can't believe she still let us in her house, the amount of sweat we must have been dripping between us!), and she quickly explained to us what needed doing. We had the simple task of taking up all the weeds and grass patches from her garden. I say simple... That's what it seemed to be at first. However with dry and hot spell of the last few weeks, the ground was very tough and packed with ants! With every fistful of weeds we unhoused about a hundred ants. Despite this, and the severe heat, we managed to get most of the garden done in just an hour and a half. With that we took our sweaty selves away and left Ms C in peace to gaze out at her de-weeded garden.
