I was working away at home on Thursday morning when I got a text from Steve asking if I could help at the last minute to deliver more hampers. I was only working from home and so I dropped everything and was with him in ten minutes. It is so important to do this sort of thing and anything else can wait for a couple of hours. I delivered seven hampers in total to some really vulnerable and extremely emotional people. It was raining but thankfully I had my rain jacket with me and so I was able to stand and talk to people without getting wet. Of particular note was a man in his 80's, who really was not coping, and an amazing lady aged 96, who had the wickedest sparkle in her eye. Everyone is struggling in some way and so to be able to help and get food to people is amazing and hopefully that chat will give them a bit of a boost for at least a short period of time. Sorry for the same stock photo's but how many selfies of me do you want to see?
