Mrs W had an envelope ready with money and the details of her husbands plaque. She gave me very good directions on how to find the plaque once I'm at the Crematorium.

I went over to Lidl to purchase the flowers for Mrs W and while their purchased some flowers myself on behalf of a friend who wanted some placing on her mothers plaque. There was a short queue but it wasn't too long before I got in and chose the best boquet I could for the budget Mrs W provided. I managed to purchase a bag big enough that meant I could carry the flowers whilst running without damaging them. So I ran to the Crematorium via the woods which was very scenic today!

Following Mrs W's instructions it didn't take too long to find her husbands plaque. I tidied the surrounding grass a little, placed the flowers and sat for a short while to have a moment of reflection. I then visited a couple more plaques of friends and family while I was there before placing the other flowers on my friends mothers plaque.

I then had a lovely run back to Mrs W's via the racecourse and returned her change and receipt. We had a quick chat just to see how she was doing then I was on my way.

Today's mission really made me put recent times into perspective and appreciate the friends and family that we are lucky to still have with us. Whilst we can't see them in person at the moment they're still there and will be when lockdown is relaxed.
