Anglia in Bloomin hot weather...

Colchester Bid hosted 'Anglia in Bloom' on an organised tour of everything horticultural in Colchester. Goodgym were asked to say hi and describe how we help alongside Colchester in Bloom, however we could have joined at any point - Level Best deserve so much credit, Castle Park and around the River Colne equally important. Colchester Bid are focused firstly on economy and town centre businesses, even it seems charging charities a fee and in the past asked if we would litter pick outside Primark and other shops - I guess Goodgyms priority is people and the environment, real things like clean air and ethical business ventures. The judges where headed up by 4 litter pickers so Colchester Bid were, essentially staging the chosen route - I wonder if they showed them Poppy's restaurant where the cannabis farm was? Or the wooded areas and bridge near Castle Park where homeless people live. I hope the awards go towards helping people and maybe involving business in the community with flora, fauna and young people. Watch this space and if the awards are won it is the volunteers and charity workers who deserve the credit!
