...And Then There Were Three...

Today we helped Genesis Trust with a bit of garden maintenance. They were looking for someone to tidy up the outside area around their HQ building which had become overgrown, big time, with many too many weeds.

I (Jesus, he knows me!) arrived a couple of minutes early, and loitered for a short while, a man on the corner waiting for absent friends Emily (Keep it dark) and Meyrick (No son of mine) whilst trying to think up a theme for this Genesis-inspired run report...

Out host Hilary gave a little tour of the building and background to their work and what needed doing today, and we got to it. It's never "just a job to do" with GoodGym of course, so it was time to turn it on again and spruce up this land of confusion as if it was a place to call my own.

You can't hurry love, of course and despite the weather there was no reason to see red. Rain was falling throughout this mission, but Emily had her waterproof socks on, and even though I stepped in a puddle I didn't go in too deep...

Against all odds we finished the main bit of weeding pretty quickly, and had time to spruce up the little patio courtyard area which was a little overgrown like the Congo basin, and allowing the staff to enjoy the outside area through the fruits of our invisible touch.

After the ordeal we'd generated a few bags of green waste to get rid of (apparently John the office manager will be heading to the recycling centre and throwing it all away on our behalf).

That's all.

Possible future mission

There may be another similar job coming up to similarly spruce up their other location which is over on the Solsbury Hill side of town.

It's not about us, but kudo to Meyrick, who completed his 50th mission last week. I congratulated him in person at the time, but thought I'd put it in writing here. Albeit a week late! :)
