Southwark

Mission

An egg-cellent mission

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

No parkrun on a Saturday morning, that's fine, I'll just help Mr. E's wife with the shopping (no sexual innuendos there, btw).

What should have been a food and medication pick-up turned out to be just a food pick up as Mr. E desperately needed his antibiotics and luckily, got them yesterday.

Originally, the list was just eggs... Turns out the eggs were just the tip of the iceberg, yet there is no saying no during this crisis. I took the list and went on my treasure hunt.

1st shop (Budgens): carrots, medium cheese slices, coffee, washing up liquid and carton of eggs (10 eggs... She wanted 2 dozen, but could only buy one pack).

2nd shop (Iceland): Pack of Mugshot, another carton of eggs and oranges.

3rd shop (local food and wine): 2 cartons of Pineapple Juice

Came back to Mr. E's wife with the goods... If you know what I mean. She was very appreciative and will be looking forward to using GoodGym again next week. She was grateful that she gave me a gift - Terry's Chocolate Egg... Eggs for an Egg, seems like a good trade. 😊
