Paulin and Sam met up with Rose and the volunteers of the Denmark Hill Community Gardens to put up their polytunnel. This mission had been postponed once before, but this time the sun and everyone's smiles were shining!

The polytunnel came in a cardboard box, so the first task was to open the box with sharp house keys since we were too lazy to get scissors.

Upon opening the box, we found several bars (curved and straight shaped) and a very basic and poor printed instruction sheet.

Amongst four brains (mind you it was Sunday morning), we could just managed to start putting the pieces together. Slowly, but surely, we constructed the polytunnel even with the green sheet on. However, we realised afterwards that it was poorly made and the sheet was just about fitting. Yet, we had troubles with closing the zip entrance of the polytunnel and they did not provide the polytunnel with pegs to seal the polytunnel down and stop it from flying away. This was dealt by a few planks of wood and heavy bricks as a temporary measure.

We finished off the morning with some mint tea and a biscuit to celebrate the achievement (and Sam's birthday)
