The Cake lady (that is myself) has visited Ms W this afternoon and, as it's now becoming accustomary, coffee and cake was served. A slice of Red (GoodGym) velvet cake, from our celebrations on Wednesday, miraculously survived and made it's way to Ms W, who was delighted and grateful to oblige. We discussed the news of the day, as I was catching up on and informing Ms W at the same time: NHS strikes and consequences, NZ prime minister who's stepping down, etc. etc. Then I asked when her next birthday was and we started calculating her age. In the end I had to use the calculator, as Ms W was not happy with the age I was coming up with. When the calculator gave the same result, she told me to throw it out the window, as it was no good!!! 😆 I told her I was in total agreement, I have the same feeling when I calculate my age! 😊 It was a lovely chat over a lovely afternoon tea.
