On an unexpectedly sunny and warm Sunday morning, two GoodGym-ers headed down to support the lovely Lesnes Abbey Woods junior parkrun - Jenny from neighbouring GoodGym Greenwich, and Maria who'd travelled all the way from GoodGym Ealing!

After the usual lively warm-up at 9am, and the presentation of this week's milestone wristbands, the junior runners were off! We helped the wonderful volunteer team with managing the finish funnel area and scanning participant's barcodes.

There were plenty of smiles as everyone completed two kilometres in their own way - by running, walking, skipping, and jumping. A wonderful 56 juniors took part this week, including two coming along for the very first time, and thirteen setting new personal bests! Do spread the word if you know any 4-14 year olds who would be interested in taking part in this weekly free event.

It was a great morning all round, which was followed by a quick coffee at nearby Chestnuts Kiosk Café before we headed onwards to another GoodGym community mission at Crossness Pumping Station.
