2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.

On Sunday morning, undeterred by the great British rain, two GoodGymmers jogged on down to Poplar to sort out Miss B’s garden. The garden needed some general maintenance which included weeding around the flower beds, pruning the hedges, and filling in an urban fox-hole. Andy and Andreana soon had it all under control, and after about 2 hours work the hedges were trimmed, the fox-hole filled in, the flower beds clear and four sacks full of garden waste removed from the garden. Miss B told us that she has lived in the area for 50 years, and was telling us about all the changes she has seen in that time, so we had some interesting history to accompany our gardening, and we left Miss B’s garden looking well spruced up & tidy, even if not 100% fox-resistant, by the time we left.
