Mission

A radiator white as snow

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.

Maria had asked if GoodGym could help bring brightness to her living room with a fresh lick of paint for her radiator.

With the wind blowing and a small bit of snow having fallen, Patrick and I were happy leaving the cold weather behind us as Maria welcomed us in. After a quick meet and greet for Patrick and Maria we set out to get the equipment all ready.

With a copy of The Sun to hand we covered the floor and the furniture in yesterday's news, protecting them from the paint. After giving the radiator a quick wash down with some white spirit we grabbed our brushes ready to make the radiator gleaming white again. With Patrick starting from the left and myself beginning on the right, the plan was to meet in the middle with a nice coat of gloss all over.

With Maria keeping us company it was great to have a chat as we painted (and with Jeremy Kyle on the TV in the background there was plenty to talk about). The work flew by and before we knew it the radiator was looking as white as the snow!

After a quick clean up we looked over our work with pride before saying goodbye to a very happy Maria. Then we ran off back into the cold onto the next GoodGym mission of the day.
