The sun was out, the mercury was soaring and by the end of our task we'd earned a mars bar for certain. And with that I'll put my interplanetary pun gun back in its, err, holster.

Your faithful GoodGym-ers Jack and James joined forces on a Wednesday to help prepare Mr L's room for a soon to be delivered hospital bed.

Team JJ from GG assembled streetside before being welcomed by Mrs L who had some great instructions for what we needed to do.

First we moved some items of furniture out of the house so we'd have room to move the large bed into the adjacent bedroom. We then did just that, starting with the mattress and then following with the base before assembling it all over again. My favourite part of school always was assembly.

Mrs L kindly advised us that we'd managed to put the mattress on upside down. Quite a skill that. After flipping the latter we then moved the furniture outside back into the house and got everything where it needed to be.

Mrs L thanked us kindly and we departed into the warm night after a job well done.
