10 runners ran to a local community garden. Watered and weeded then hopped back for running & core

The Winter tightened it's grip once more, it's November and it's actually starting to feel like it, shock shock horror. 10 glorious good-doing active souls met in the Aquatics centre. Bolstered by the return of Jen , Mairead and Justin. The team was looking strong and ready to take on some graft in the dark.

Outside for the ritual warm-up, a much needed one, and the delightful random question section. "What animal would you be?" and "what's your favourite domestic appliance?". A true variety of answers from velociraptor, 'bird', unicorn, 'dog', dolphin and a vegetarian Lion - tremendous. I seem to have forgot all your answers from the second question, besides Tim's "cheese toastie" answer, excellent!

A quick mile over to Mobile Garden City, a scan through the instructions, a swift division into two groups and off to work we went. 20minutes later we had some clear path routes, some less thirsty plants and a pretty big bag of weeds to show for it. RAHSPECT. Not to mention some free organic east london salad and veg.

As we've had a few cancellations recently, I'm going to get 3-5 new tasks in by December. Any ideas, do please email me...any local charities, schools, hospitals - anyone you think I should contact. Should give us some more options and a greater capacity for do-gooding.

After work in the garden, we logged another mile in our glorious pistons of power and then got to work on a relay/circuit combo. One of my favourite spectator sports, I bloody love a relay. The shared responsibility, all working towards a common goal, can't beat it. It was neck and neck for most of the race but with the winning team just pulling clear at the end. Always useful to mix up your running speeds, next week we'll aim to do a tiny bit more volume.

Hope to see many of you on Saturday...if you haven't already please sign up here

If not, see you for next week's task

ps If not the FB group, add me on there, then I'll put you on, it's useful, sometimes anyway!

Happy running
