This week saw 14 of us take a 5kms run down by the river and then head to the Queen Caroline Estate for some more gardening work. We cleared 4 raised beds (as modeled beautifully by Will and Calum below!), added manure, turned them over and watered them in well. These are ready for the residents team to replant with veggies in the Spring. Another team also dug up small sections of the lawns, planted bulbs and re-covered. We will definitely have to run past the gardens early next year to see the fruits of our work!

Thankfully the rain held off...though everybody (apart from Jason 'It's only non-shorts-running weather when it's dropped below 4 degrees C'!!) mused that it's probably finally got to that point of the year when we need to dig out the thermal base layers! Luckily we were able to thaw out and sign off our hard work with a lovely drink at the Draft House. Thanks to Aska for organising.

Well done to our 4 first-time runners - you did great! Thanks to Calum for front marking the run and Jason and Rupesh helping to back-mark.

Hope to see you all next week. Happy running! Anna
