It was a true cross-borough effort tonight as 12 wonderful goodgymmers ventured over to Stepney City Farm from as far afield as Greenwich, Hackney and Islington.

It was lovely to have such a cheerful and willing crowd, and after a brief tour of the farm (it's so much bigger than it looks from the outside!) our task owner, Siobhan, set us to work, dividing up the various tasks of sweeping, weeding, mulch-shifting and wood-chipping, and we set to work under the watchful eye of a resident ram!

As they say, many hands make light work, and within the hour we got through an incredible amount and the place was looking decidedly tidier (not to mention the improvement in the course of the evening of our wheelbarrow driving skills).

Of course the evening would not have been complete without a quick sampling of the beverages on offer at the on-site cafe to wind down and enjoy each other's company on a (fairly) warm Friday evening before heading off into our weekends.

Thanks so much everyone for making it another highly enjoyable evening on the farm! Hope to see you there again!
