Loads had already been achieved in Cator Park yesterday when volunteers gathered, brushes in hand, for stage one of a project to refurbish several benches – so it was a nice quick job to finish off today. Linda helped with applying a second coat of teak oil to wooden slats to smarten up the benches and prevent them from being damaged in adverse weather. We positioned netting around to protect the wood while it dries, then the benches will be ready for use again by visitors to this popular green space.
