After a scorching week, including the hottest London Marathon on record, just as our task was due to begin the climate paid us back in spades with a sudden thunderous deluge of rain and hail - nevertheless four of us assembled in E5 to help re-arrange a flat ready so that the occupant could come back home from hospital.

Gladly, the Is had been dotted and the Ts crossed before we’d even arrived, with an extremely precise set of instructions for what was to go where.

What followed was a game of Tetris in three-dimensions as we negotiated several beds, armchairs, tables and a sofa around themselves (and ourselves) through narrow doorways, disassembling on the fly where necessary.

We left space for a new bed in the main bedroom, and the living room with far more space to get about.

We had no time to listen to the stack of ‘OLD POP CLASSICS 1970s’ records we found before we were off on our ways home through the lovely orange evening sun.
