100 Good Leaves

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.

Fresh from Hackney parkrun, and wide-awake after a coffee (or in Paul's case a rather delicious-looking breakfast bap), we headed off to go and visit Valerie, to weed, prune, and tidy her garden.

After a short jog to Valerie's (and a couple of cheeky laps of the local area), we got down to the serious business of pruning and weeding. Following an absolutely ingenious division of labour (Paul did the back and I did the front), we made quick work of the pesky weeds and leaves - with the helpful advice and gardening kit of Valerie, of course!

After about an hour of weeding, pruning, and sweeping, and having agreed that the garden looked a good bit better, we were good to go. Leaving the garden with the satisfaction of a job well done, we parted ways and were back to our respective homes in time for lunch.

All in all, not a bad achievement - and lastly massive congrats to Mr Paul Bown who hit 100 good deeds - and definitely swept up over 100 leaves - today!
