Run to clear up the river colne

The River Colne is a tranquil river that meanders through Castle Park. It is home to a diverse range of wildlife including water voles, otters and kingfishers. RiverCare engages with volunteers to inspire them to help keep this stretch of river clean and a beautiful place to visit.

They need volunteers to walk a part of the river and clear it from rubbish and debris. Can you help?

Meet at the Middle Mill Weir, just outside of castle park which is just outside the park. If you are at the boating lake (with the big plastic swans), exit the park via the gate closest to the river, and then a slight right to reach middle mill weir. The mission will take place between this point, eastwards, down river, all the way along the river to East Street.

Please arrive by 10.30am. We expect this mission to last up to 90 minutes.
