With snow flurrying across Leicestershire during the afternoon this task could have gone very wrong. Luckily for us the sun popped out just before we started and we were able to proceed as planned.

Nick, Ashley and Stu blasted some litter from the vaccine centre car park before joining us.

Mel, Lindsay, Tracey and Stu formed a litter picking squad heading up and down the waterway collecting cans and assorted trash.

Sharon, Jen, Steve, Huw, Dave, Ashley and Nick split into two groups and painted a wonderful 57m section of the sleepers black. 57 down, 243 to go on this section.

We finished up just as the snow returned, perfect timing!

Great work gang.

243m to go 😱 Good start to a job that will keep you going for a while!

Sure is! We've done about 450m on other sections in the last couple of years!
