Who this task will support
Volunteer Edinburgh
Our vision is for Edinburgh to be the premier city for volunteering in the UK. A city where the positive impact of volunteering is universally valued and respected, and where everyone, regardless of their background or situation has the opportunity to contribute as active citizens and volunteers.

We are setting up a mission partly to promote the Edinburgh Volunteer Recruitment Fair but also to ask for help with the GoodGym stall we will be running there all day! You can come help out for a little bit, the whole day or you can just come and say hi while looking around at what's going on. However long you plan to take part, you can still register onto the mission to receive updates.

This mission is all about engaging in the fair, promoting GoodGym and being a part of promoting volunteering across Edinburgh.

The Volunteer Recruitment Fair is on Tuesday 1st September at Ps & Gs (St Paul's & St George's) Church at the top of Leith Walk and is Scotland’s largest annual volunteering showcase.

It will be running 10:00am until 5:30pm but any time that you can make it along is very welcome.

This fair brings together hundreds of people looking for ways to get involved in their community, and as the first GoodGym group in Scotland, it’s a huge opportunity for us to share what GoodGym is all about.

We will be chatting all about how we combine getting active with doing good, building connections, and supporting brilliant local organisations across the city.

Even if you haven't been on one of our Tuesday evening runs yet, any friendly faces are greatly appreciated, feel free to come down even if you just want to find out more about GoodGym.

As well as speaking to potential volunteers we will connecting with community organisations and groups to scope out potential Group Run Tasks and Missions to book in going forwards.

This is a perfect moment to introduce GoodGym to a wider audience and grow our community from the ground up.

If you’re joining us, expect plenty of friendly conversations and the chance to help build the momentum and reach of our GoodGym Edinburgh group.

The fair finishes at 1730, so if you are an especially keen bean you can also join us at Edinburgh Street Food for our Tuesday evening Group Run.
