In March, the Salopian Community Garden is getting three brand new chickens to take up residence!

As part of the preparation, Andy, Michelle and Will were drafted in to help get an area of unused ground ready for the chicken's run to be constructed on. This involved shifting a huge pile of old compost across the garden, and leveling the soil that was left so the run could be dug in.

We got to work and quickly perfected our technique, turns out three eager GoodGym'ers armed with forks can get a lot done in an hour! With the pile moved and the ground ready, we headed off - but we'll definitely be back in a few weeks to say hello and collect some feedback on how our feathered friends rate our work!
