OK, there was no danger, but every other single flyering pun has been done!

Well, it definitely feels like winter now. 10 GoodGymmers desperate to do good rocked up to Westminster Uni ready to hit the streets and not sure whether or not it was cold enough to wear jackets.

We said hello to quite a few first timers this evening. Welcome to Shona (not Shannon, Siobhan or Sheila!), Eve, Ludi and Yuqi.

The task was to distribute flyers advertising an over-50s Zumba class for Open Age. Jade from Open Age had diligently printed and sliced 500 of them and supplied us with maps of the areas to target.

After a 2.5k run led by regular Howard we split into three teams to attack a few streets each. Avoiding dogs and no junk mail signs (AS IF it was junk mail...) we got done pretty quickly, with just a few flyers left that we quickly and quietly delivered to the residents of a block of flats.

Goodness all done, on the way home there was a short diversion via a rather poorly-lit spot next to Regents Park, where you can get up to all sorts of mischief, like... a three-team three-person continuous relay! Lots of sprinty fun, some elbow drills, and a final lunge/run combination to make sure we'd used every muscle in our legs and we set off back to the uni.

Great night all. And as always a pleasure to come to Westminster.

Sign up for next week's run here,
Simon

P.S. Don't forget there are drinks tonight
